Sept 11-15

 Hello Families,

We had a successful Terry Fox Run today with all three Tuscany Schools today!  It was a fun morning and a huge shout out to all the parent volunteers who helped make it happen.  We have spent the week learning about Terry Fox, his life and his legacy.  We have watched a few videos and read many books about Terry Fox.  Toonies can still be brought in Monday if you like.

We have continued to build school stamina, work on routines, and friendship skills this week.  Ask me if I have a new friend!

We have been working hard on printing lowercase letters with appropriate letter formation, and writing to express things we have learned and know.  If you would like to work on printing at home, help me to remember the steps to printing the letters.  You can download a helpful guide here.

In math we are practicing counting in various ways (by ones, twos, fives, and tens).  We will continue to practice this throughout this month.  We have also been working on identifying all the ways numbers and math are used in our personal lives (e.g. age, numbers of people in our families).

We are looking forward to meeting you all at the Meet the Teacher evening on Thursday.   Families are invited to bring their children as well.

Thanks for reading!
