Important Information and Dates:

-Library book exchange is Tuesdays and Thursdays
-Families Helping Families-it will be sent via School Messenger as it can't be attached to the blog message. It is voluntary.
-No school December 8th
Our Week:
-Ask your child what they did in Wellness today with Mrs. Watterson (hint: the group plan, picnics).
-Ask your child about what has happened next our Read Aloud, The Wild Robot. Ask your child who Chitchat is and who is Brightbill.
-We have Roots of Empathy next week with the Grade 1's. The Grade 2's will continue to work on their robot projects...ask them about their designs and what makes their robot special or helpful to others. We could use small boxes to help with our building. If you have any boxes smaller than a shoe box that we can have, please send them to school with your child.
-Journal Writing: Both groups are working on building stamina-being able to write/draw for 15 minutes. Today Mrs. Pelton's group wrote about places in the world they would like to go. They shared their work. Ms. Disher's class wrote about what they were excited about (i.e. hockey tournament, Christmas, vacation, birthdays). Ask your child what they wrote about today.
Math: We continue to work on numeracy as that is such a foundation leading to other math concepts. Grade 2's are using base ten blocks to make numbers with groups of hundreds, tens and ones. Check the Google classroom for a game to give you a better idea. Grade 1's are starting to work with these blocks for groups of tens and ones.
Have a fantastic weekend!
